Pictures of Beautiful Puppies

shaving their faces to see their color ...
this is the "official" colors they will be registered

Elyria is a sweet bouncy playful puppy.  She will be registered "blue", she has brownish silvery line of hair coming in around her neck on top but her face looks black.  her color might surprise us.  She weighed 4# 15oz today.  She has a white chin and white on her toes on the back feet.  Small delicate face and round eyes like her daddy.

Everly, calling him a black puppy.  He's long legged and calm.  Loves raw meat and has a tendency eating too much which is a sign of being competitive in the litter.  Weighed 6# 6oz today.  He's a sweetheart to hold, like to really look at things and investigate.  Great expression and strong little body.

Ethan will be registered silver.  His legs are lightening.  He has no white on him, will be darker silver but  definitely silver.  He looks like a little bear, this is the active puppy!  Weighed 5# 9oz

Enrique is a black puppy ... he's always been one of the boys that does things first.  He was the first out of the whelping box, consistently.  I am thrilled to see what these puppies test as on June 6th.  He liked being held and quiet when he's hugged.   Weighed 5# 6oz.
calm when held, they mostly are, I think it's the socializing, when down they are all over the place

Entei has a tiny white on his toes, tiny on his lip and chin is the size of a penny.  He's a sweet, playful, active puppy.  Will register him as "blue" has no visable silvering but does have the mahogony glow to his black coat.  Might look black for a long time.  Weighed 4# 15oz.  One of the small guys at this point with his sire's small kleinpudel face.  He was an acrobat to shave his face, but did not have a fast beating heart when we were done ... he fears nothing, it's his will against yours.  Still a loving puppy.

Etienne, her face, legs and the undergrowth are coming in silver.  She's a sweetheart, loves to be held and cuddled.  She has a sweet calm playful disposition.  She's patient without nervous heart beating, she is not afraid.   She will be registered as silver, she does have a brownish tint to the silver on the top of her neck.  Weighed 4# 12oz.
see the color of my nose?
OH MY GOSH!  shaved her face and it all came in silver, one day you may not really see the white chin.  This is a silver puppy, note her nose is darker around the nose, she will be a darker blue.

Emmitt will be registered as a silver!  We've been able to tell that for awhile, he should be the silver blue like his siblings.  He's like Ethan all eyes to watch and figure out what's going on.  Active boy, did a little whin like Ethan did when he didn't want his face shaved anymore.  Weighed 5# 9oz

Ellington is the last puppy born.  He was actually born the morning after everyone else on 4/20/2011.  He is silver.  Likes to make "talking" noises.   He's sweet, held so still, did a little whin and wide eyes with the shaver, it's huge next to their little faces!  Weighed 5#7oz, almost 6 wks old.
he's a sweet character of a guy!

A note about the size of these puppies.  Their momma was 4.5# at almost 8 wks old.  About four months old she took off growing.  I expect these puppies to do the same.  Their sizes right now you would think they would be 25# ... I don't think they will stay this small.  Like their momma they will take off growing and end up 22-25" tall.

as a side note, they could fool us and stay 21-23" instead.  This is Tigre's first litter and bred to a caniche moyen, they could be lighter weight.  If you are looking for a larger small standard, do pick one of the 6-7# puppies instead of the barely 5# puppies.

Silver?  I think these puppies will be the darker silver blue like our "Grace."  I would not think they will be super platnium silver ... colors do not "clear" until they are over 2 years old.

Note to the reservation peoples:  no puppy is officially picked until after the personality testing.

personality testing is June 6th, I will post who is actually available the next day,

why wait?  get in the pick now to reserve your little sweetheart

UPDATED PICTURES of the boys

ok... finally getting to the rest of the pictures, these guys are CUTE!  playing with the big puppies, eating food, responding to us and each other.

Weights and descriptions are from a couple of days ago, pictures are todays

Food?  They've been on softened Eukanuba mixed with raw dog food for about a week.

Thursday morning I wormed everybody in the household, seemed to make the puppies constipated, so afternoon and dinner meal I gave them raw dog food mixed with water.  They love it.  Starting to give them a morning meal of softened Eukanuba mixed with raw dog food, afternoon meal thinned with water, dinnertime I'm see what they need, softened Eukanuba or raw or a combination, eventually they will get dry Eukanuba to sharpen those teeth.

They are all doing very well, all of a sudden they are big puppies!

today Bath Day and Pictures

Tuesday they are five weeks old

Some of the puppies got more pictures than others, many times it's either they are wiggly or the camera is not cooperating, they are all favorites!

Emmitt still acts the most mature, 3# 4oz, has lots of brown hue, he prances around & likes to bark, gets in and out of the whelping box at his leisure and explores without hesitation.  He runs up to me and growl/talks, he's a cute guy.

see my little silvery chin?  that's my hair turning lighter
Emmitt on the move, good name for him, he's always quick and personable
hahaha, he looks so docile doesn't he?  He's submitting while I take his picture, he's also a good boy.

Every looks black, 3# 5oz, his legs grew this past week, he's tall.  Everly is on the sensitive, sweet side but once he's settled into a loving home with individual attention, he will be more decisive.  He gave me heck giving him a bath today.  He seems calm and obedient, I think he will be happy to please.   He usually licks my hand when I carry him around and tucks his head under my chin.  He eats too much, but that will change once the competition of the siblings isn't there and he considers that he's full.

 hmm, that does smell good

Entei 3# 2oz has a wht chin, brown hue, has the sweetest eyes and licked my hand while I was holding him.  I felt lucky to get a picture of him today.  I put him on the platform, let go of him, and he runs at me, spilling quickly over the edge.  I do this 3-4 times and he decides to hold still for a sec.  Put him next to La Roux and he's terring into her ear, jumping on her, running over to see another bone, growling, little bark.  Nothing in the room is safe.  He's not overweight but not thin.  This is an Everad puppy!  Outgoing and loving life, chewing on La Roux like a bone, I feel sorry for La Roux (14wks).  ha! now the bath ... yhat was one ticked off little puppy!  Neighbors probably thought I was bathing a cat or piggy, he squealed!

Ethan 3# has lots of brown hue,  bottom lip looks like a line of lighter hair coming in like when a women dyes her hair and it has a grow out line, he is very light around his eyes are turning lighter, top of his back towards his tail is silvery underneath.  Same as Entei. kisses and playful before the bath.  You can see this little guy across the room changing a lighter color.  He's a great little puppy!  Just like Entei but a little calmer, I felt glad to get pictures of him today, set him down, runs towards me and off of the platform.  He's now chewing on La Roux.  He climbs all over her, bites her ear she sqeaks, oh this is fun, bites it again, she shakes her head ... A big fluffy toy!
see around his eyes?  very light
the bone is the only way I could get him to hold still
 huh?

Ellington 2# 14oz, has the brown hue on his legs, silvery hairs starting to look apparent around his chin hairs, he's an active tell you what he things kind of guy, sweet and active.

Enrique 3# 4oz has the brown hue and lighter silvery hairs on his bottom lip, sweet eyes.  He's one of the strong boys, always out front and into things.  Had a bucket this morning as every morning, mopping, taking things apart, cleaning, rinsing, putting them back together ... here comes Enrique dives head first into the soapy water.  I ran him into the kitchen sink and 'rinsed well' I think he thought we was swimming, he was pretty quiet for a while.  Poor little guy, but I had to make sure to get it off of his delicate baby skin.  He's why everybody is getting a bath today.  He's a great little puppy!
by the time I got started taking pictures, he was dry and relaxed

he was inching to the edge to jump off, his tail is always up like his sire, Everad

Elyria she's calm and sweet, smaller than everybody else especially those roudy brothers.  She usually just lets them do it.  I've been bringing her in and someone else that won't challenge the puppy pool so they can get use to not being in a clump of puppies all of the time.  It's really making her much more personable.  Today I put her in front of the TV in the puppy pool, first with Ellington, but he was out of there, so then brought Etienne.  They are so cute.  They sit side by side.  Elyria looks up at the TV and moves her head back and forth to see the action.  Later - I'm still feeding and cleaning puppies - she jogs up to my face while I'm bent over with her tail high and wagging, I swear I saw a smile on her face.  She's so sweet.  Her big round eyes are getting some experience to them.  She's so much smaller I think she sometimes got overwhelmed but he's starting to mature and getting much more sure of herself.  She loves to lay and sleep with La Roux (now 14 wks old), anybody to cuddle with is fine with her.

Etienne she's Tigre's baby.  She has her face, he nauncalant-ness (if that's a word) like her momma.  She's in the group playing like the boys, no problem.  D'Angelo (Hilde's 7 wk old pups) is too rough, she doesn't like that, but otherwise she can hold her own.  The top of her neck is very light underneath the longer fur.  Like her brother Ethan, you can see her lighter across the room.  She looks like momma look alike to me at this age.

it's late afternoon and the big puppies (Hilde's) have their personality testing tomorrow they turn 7 wks old, everyone of those darlings need a bath too ... whoo-hoo busy day,

Did you say Silver or Blue ... maybe Sable?

well I hope so, today puppies are four weeks old and many are turning light around their bottom lips, both girls are turning light around their little kesters, Etienne is turning around the top of her neck.

Will take individual pictures soon, I don't think you can see their black coats turning lighter with a brown hue to them.  Some like Emmitt is very brown looking, Ellington doesn't look very brown hue-y until you look at his legs, they are very brown hue-y.  The top of Ethan's back by his tail is turning light, around his eyes are lighter, he has a lot of brown hue to his black coat.

Everly actually looks like he's getting a brown hue to his black coat, could be blue instead of black, he has no white hairs on the pads of his feet.

for comparison, Grace's last litter at four weeks old the silver puppies that are now silver with lots of blue had silver faces.  If this litter is just slower is very possible, but ladies and gents, looks like we have two females turning silver (how silver I don't know yet), and many of the boys are lightening before our eyes.

Look at our website, Grace is dark with brown but is considered a silver due to she has a silver face, I call her silver/blue since her feet are dark with brown on them, but her face is silver.

Hilde was registered "blue" from her breeder due to no silver face at 6 wks old but the brown hue on her black coat but she looks black.  In fact, she had the dark mahogony color to her coat until she was almost one when we shaved her down.

Everad is considered black (the sire) and was registered black.  At 2.5 yrs old he's getting a few graying hairs to his black coat.  Couple of the boys have that black small face like their daddy, but they might be like Everad not getting graying hairs until after two years old and will always look black.

Momma Tigre' is a cream and white parti but also sable, looks like that's where all of the silver and/or blue is coming from, the combination of Everad and Tigre' we got some beautiful silvers and blues that will be small standards.

I MIGHT ALSO ADD ... the puppies are slowing down in size.  A regular standard puppy at four weeks old should be close to or over 4#, none of these puppies are 4# ... looks like we have all small standards, but Emmitt might fool you and be a big boy.  Puppies should still be 22 and more, Ellington and Elyria might be under 20", time will tell.  Funny ... first and last puppies are the smallest.

Looks like Etienne just might be sable instead of silver, this is my first litter with a sable momma, I am not sure what color these puppies will be ... we will know more as they grow, by 7 wks we will have more of a hint than we do now at 4 wks old

Elyria was 2# 11oz today, has a brown hue to her black coat, turning silvery around her keester below (pics 5/18/11), she got a chill standing on floor so I wrapped her up, she liked it.  To compare for size, Elyria is the exact weight as "Daniella" from Hilde's litter born 2.5 wks earlier, will see if they grow up to be about the same size.
see all of the white on the pads of my feet and a little brown hue?
and the silver starting on the hinny
eating all by myself, no brothers or big sister to fend off
I'm four weeks old and one day
she slept like that for a while
---
I guess the question is,  how long can a puppy sleep when she's full and comfortable?
she's still sleeping...

... now her sister joins her sleeping in the family room on the ... obviously ... beloved blanket

note the colors of these girls, I think Etienne (lighter black) is going to surprise us with her color!

Etienne 3# 1oz, has a brown hue, top of her neck is turning lighter - maybe not silver - maybe she is starting to turn lighter brown as SABLE?  We might really be surprised with her color.

side picture - see her lighter colored keester?  my hand is holding her tail

the best "picture" of her brownish undergrowth (new hair) it doesn't look silver, it looks brownish

Let's get to pictures of her pretty face (1st below the older puppies were hollering, they wanted the attention!  She's like, wow that's loud, why am I up here?

all snuggled in the beloved blanket, sound a sleep
